Abstract
This research investigates the multi-state reliability of single-component repairable system, considering maximal/minimal repair pattern. We assume that the operational and repair times of the system follow continuous Phase-type distribution, instead of exponential distribution or others typical distributions, which make the reliability model more adaptive to describe real situations. The proposed model provides the analytic formulas of the availability, up and down periods of system, mean time between failures (MTBF) and mean time to repair (MTTR). Finally, numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the model.
