Abstract :
Manufacturing knowledge is the accumulated knowledge that extracted from manufacturing process and affects product quality and supports manufacturing process decision. Aims to promote manufacturing company to apply the manufacturing knowledge to improve product quality defect or work defects in quality related matters, this article explores the manufacturing knowledge supporting decision-making for mechanical product defect prevention. Following a review of the relevant literature on the subject, this article, first, analyses decision requirements according to the factors that influence quality, and then based on it puts forward the manufacturing knowledge framework and describes mechanism of manufacturing knowledge supporting decision-making for mechanical product defect prevention. Finally this article presents the IDEF0 model to further represent the complex functional relationships of decision-making process and identifies the information and objects of interrelated functions. On the whole this article explores the process of exploiting manufacturing knowledge to support decision-making for mechanical product defect prevention, so as to make the foundation to develop decision system for product defect prevention based on manufacturing knowledge.
