  • Abstract
    To deal with the problem of information modeling of product design process module(DPM), with the object-oriented (O-O)method, an integrated information model of DPM is proposed. This paper, firstly, presents the information necessity of DPM in product design process management. Then, focusing on design task, the information structure of DPM is proposed, which includes six basic class models, such as attribute, interface, designer, quality, cost and schedule. And next, the six basic class models are described detailedly with the O-O method. Finally, by synthesizing the information structure and the basic class information models, an integrated information model of DPM is constructed, which paves a good way to the database modeling and development in the product design process management and optimization.
