Abstract :
This paper presents some methods for maintaining accuracy in implementation of fast Fourier transform on fixed point DSPs and analysis of their performance. Methods analysed in this paper differs by the way how overflow of mathematical operation results (complex addition and complex multiplication) is prevented. Depending of capabilities of specific fixed point DSP suitable method can be chosen.
