Abstract
Based on application practices of the Campus WAMS developed in Western Japan 60-Hz power system; this paper presents a single-mode-oriented monitoring and estimation scheme of power system small-signal stability. The data filtering technique based on Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) is employed to extract oscillation data to obtain reasonable and precise results in analyzing low frequency oscillation in power systems. This paper describes the availability of HHT used to analyze power system low-frequency, and it will be used to future study of more detailed examination of low-frequency oscillation of power system.
