Abstract :
In this paper, a novel architecture of six-port circuit is proposed and experimentally verified. The six-port circuit is realized by using only power dividers and combiners of Wilkinson type. This architecture is proposed for the first time and opens new perspective for applications in the THz and optical region for both communication and measurements. A prototype operating in the ultra-wideband frequency region has been fabricated and experimentally verified, to show its performance as modulator/demodulator for applications in software-defined radios.
