Abstract
With the development of modern wireless technology, mobile users are allowed to access the vast network resources anytime and anywhere without physically hook up any access point. Therefore, mobile commerce is emerging as one of the most important research topics nowadays. To process data in the move, it usually involves data exchanging and sharing. Therefore, there is a strong need for mobile databases on smart devices-especially phones. In our previous research, an XML-based mobile database system for Java phones was developed. However, the current design of the mobile database system requires uses to design XSLT processing rules by themselves and thus, there exist many limit acceptance of the mobile database system. To overcome this problem, a processing rules generator is proposed so that anyone can use the mobile database to process data on Java phones.
