Abstract :
This paper describes a design method for recursive filters with complex coefficients and operating in the transient mode. The non-zero frequency initialisation technique is used as a pre-design method to force a notch at any frequency. The design method is based on a minimax approach to achieve the desired frequency response. Different filters were designed by the new method for rejecting clutter in radar applications
