Abstract
Zinc and cerium carried zirconium phosphate was prepared by exchanging zinc and cerium ions into sodium zirconium phosphate through the ion-exchange method and characterized by energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and scanning electron microscopy, also the antibacterial activity was tested. The result shows that the high content of zinc and cerium (Zn-Ce/ZrP) is obtained, and Zn- Ce/ZrP is hexagonal crystal system. Moreover, Zn-Ce/ZrP displays obvious synergetic antibacterial effect and has the potential to be used as antibacterial agent in environmental control.
