Abstract :
In this paper, we propose an experiment design and implementation for distance evaluation in wireless sensor networks (WSN). More specifically, a WSN application is implemented for collecting received signal strength indicator (RSSI) measurements in different conditions. The application consists of two parts: an experiment control script which runs on a computer, and an experiment mote firmware which runs on each WSN node. Obtained results enable to conclude on the precision of the distance evaluation for each node.
