Abstract :
The performance of the interference canceller for frequency reuse satellite communications is degraded due to the nonlinearity contained in the transponder. This paper proposes two types of compensation technique by putting nonlinear functions in both replica generator and receiver input. By conducting computer simulation, it has been proved that the former method is very effective and gives significant improvement on the BER performance. This paper also shows the performance of back-off tracking scheme by which the replica is shaped as the same way the received signal is in the satellite. We are currently investigating the effects of the other method called post compensation which is put on the receiver input.
