Abstract :
With the continuous advance of globalization and the rapid development of science and technology, environment faced by firms is increasingly complex and dynamic, which has a deeper and deeper effect on firms´ development. It is especially significant that aggravation of competitive environment dynamism and complexity intensify for high-tech enterprises day by day, so the improvement of R&D flexibility foundation of high-tech enterprises need to be paid close attention. R&D flexibility of high-tech enterprises is researched in this paper. First, starting from the concept of high-tech enterprises R&D flexibility, the role that R&D played in the activities of high-tech enterprises is analyzed, and the implication of R&D flexibility for enterprises is put forward. Then, based on analysis above, significance of high-tech enterprises R&D flexibility is demonstrated. Finally, dimensions of high-tech enterprises R&D flexibility are proposed: updating agility of technology, product diversity and innovation ability, through literature review of the flexibility factors and R&D elements.
