Abstract :
This paper describes a multisensor image fusion scheme based on the use of the redundant wavelet transform. This transform duplicates features through scales when they are significantly dominant. In order to ensure that a fused image contains all significant features coming from multisensor images, we exploit the property of redundancy to develop a fusion rule applied in the wavelet domain. Simulated and remote sensing images are used to evaluate the fusion results and compare the performances for various rules
