Abstract :
The design and implementation of an RF-passive 915 MHz ISM-band receiver front-end for a "wake-up" radio is presented. The detector has a tangential sensitivity of -69 dBm, and zero RF power consumption in standby mode. Fundamental limits on RF performance, range data, and optimum waveform for minimizing false detection are described.
