Abstract :
This paper proposes a novel strategy to achieve the decoupling flux and torque control of AC drive systems by using the state space approach. The control strategy relies upon the use of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) state space controllers. The controller is designed using the pole placement technique. Results of the proposed scheme are presented and compared with the field orientation controller. The presented technique provides good steady-state and fast transient response performance
