Abstract
This paper describes two new non-linear sampled-data models for buck DC-DC converters, derived from classical sampled-data representation, and including loop delay for the second one. Load transient behaviors of a recently proposed small-signal discrete model as well as the proposed models are compared with a large-signal, piecewise linear, switched model. A design methodology to optimize transient response of DC/DC digital controller using both linear, non-linear and piecewise linear models is then discussed.
