Abstract
An Internet credit-based payment system such as SET requires an online financial institution that provides the credit card service to ensure the authenticity of clients for every transaction. This paper presents a credit-based payment scheme that does not require the financial institution to be actively involved in normal transactions; therefore the running cost can be reduced. Our Internet credit card scheme is based on the technique of Weil paring. The security of our system is proved in the random oracle model.
