Abstract :
This paper deals with analysis method of the magnetostrictive material based actuator using the three dimensional finite element method (3-D FEM). Fully coupled electro-magnetic-mechanical analysis method is proposed, in which the nonlinearity of magnetostrictive material is considered. The validity of the analysis is verified by the measurement of a prototype.
