Abstract :
A novel approach to minimizing or eliminating waveform distortion is presented. The method may apply to inverters that produce AC power with a sinusoidal waveform and also to other generators and amplifiers that supply an alternating voltage waveform (for example, an audio signal). Any impedance between the source and the load will reduce the output voltage in relation to the current drawn by the load. If this current is not in direct relation to the applied voltage (that is, it is leading or lagging or non-linear), then the subtraction voltage (the instantaneous current times the source/transmission impedance) will result in a distortion of the applied voltage. Various algorithms and both hardware and software solutions are discussed
