Abstract :
This paper describes a physical-statistical model of satellite-diversity, for particular application to non-geostationary satellite PCN systems operated in built-up areas. The output of the model is an explicit formulation for the correlation between shadowing states associated with pairs of satellites, which can be used as input for Markov models of the satellite channel. Results are presented for a number of cases
