Abstract :
A piezoelectric transducer-controlled reconfigurable dual-mode bandpass filter is introduced. A piezoelectric transducer is used to lift up or pull down the attached dielectric substrate perturber. When the attached dielectric substrate is totally pulled down, slightly lifted up, or totally lifted up, the dual-mode bandpass filter has an elliptic-function response, an isolation of more than 25 dB, or a Chebyshev-function response, respectively. A full-wave simulator is used to predict the filter performance, and the simulated results agree well with the measured ones.
