  • Abstract
The use of microcomputers with ACE-type tool boxes in a DAE-type client-server network has become a genuine trump card for control engineers, who are to an increasing extent obliged to work with the client´s existing information system. With solutions like ACE, they can develop all the functions needed for controlling automatic systems, communicate directly with the production control functions, and organize the system gradually over time according to the needs. PFSACE (Plant Floor Series Automation Control Edition) is a software platform especially designed to create equipment control applications by offering users a simple language: AMU2, based on “OBJECT” programming techniques. The most important thing about the PFSACE Tool Box is that the user in total control of the pace of integration and remains completely autonomous
