Abstract :
This paper presents a sliding mode controller for induction motor fed with three level neutral point clamped (NPC) voltage source inverter (VSI) using sine pulse width modulation (SPWM) method. The controller has two loops: In the inner loop, the rotor fl flux and the motor torque are controlled using sliding mode approach. In the outer loop, the rotor speed is adjusted by a PID controller. The simulation and the experimental results demonstrate the stability and the robustness of the proposed method.
