Abstract :
This paper introduces a CPW-UWB antenna with the band of WiMAX notched to avoid potential interference with nearby WiMAX communication systems. To notch the band of WiMAX a square open loop resonator was employed in the back side of the CPW-UWB antenna. The design of the UWB antenna is introduced, simulated, and measured, then the functionality of the resonator is fulfilled and tested separately on a CPW transmission line, and finally the antenna and the resonator were employed together, simulated, and measured to verify the aimed performance.
