Abstract :
Nowadays the particle-in-cell (PIC) method is widely used for solving plasma physics problems. In this method the plasma consists of a large number of model particles the trajectories of which are characteristics of the kinetic Vlasov equation. The particles move in the electromagnetic field (which is found from Maxwell equations) in concordance with the laws of classical mechanics. In order to describe plasma behavior the hybrid models using a kinetic description for one plasma component and a magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) approach for another one are used. To solve the MHD-equations and Maxwell equations the finite-difference schemes of the first order of accuracy are used. The kinetic Vlasov equation is solved by the PIC-method. In the current paper a new algorithm to find an electric field accelerating charged particles is presented. The developed program package permits to carry out series of numerical experiments for the research of multiple plasma phenomena.
