Abstract
The paper reports on experimental research in vacuum insulation of a ferromagnetic core in a megaampere load current multiplier (LCM) performed on the GIT-12 generator. The effect of a load on the current loss in the ferromagnetic core cavity was studied. A new method of increasing the electric strength of vacuum insulation of the ferromagnetic core was proposed and tested on the LCM with a Z-pinch load.
