Abstract
The paper is part of a research project to examine the use of intelligent technologies like fuzzy controllers, artificial neural networks, genetic algorithms or evolutionary strategies in the resource management of high speed networks. It deals with an investigation on adaptive flow-control mechanism based on fuzzy controllers integrated in ATM networks. In addition to a new overall concept, a new method for fair flow control of services or connections is presented. The results are verified by means of extensive simulations
