  • Abstract
Vertical pixel mixture charge coupled device (VP- MixCCD) is with a built-in vertical pixels mixing technology to average two vertically-neighboring components of a color filter array (CFA) image within the same color filter. The goal of VPMixCCD image interpolation is to produce a single full-resolution color image from its VPMixCCD counterpart. For that, a novel wavelet-based interpolation approach is proposed in this paper. The proposed approach utilizes the universal hidden Markov tree (uHMT) model for exploiting the inter-scale correlation between the low-pass filtered wavelet coefficients and the high-pass filtered wavelet coefficients. Extensive experiments are conducted to demonstrate the superior performance of the proposed approach.
