A motivation of study comes from the prevalent of switching behavior among banking consumers. For instance, a lack of adoption of new services offered in banking services by customers is one of the important risks in the modern banking. Lack of attention to this risk may lead to serious financial harms and failures. This kind of study is a relatively unexplored research issue and investigation needs to be made specifically from a developing country such as Malaysia, provides interesting evidence on this aspect of banking services. A survey is conducted in this study and the number of respondents was about 100 customers. The key findings show that bank switching is strongly influenced by three types of incident; pricing, inconvenience and core service failures; with pricing being more influential.
