Abstract :
In this paper, the applicability to more advanced 3GPP mobile telecommunications systems of a dynamic pricing scheme called Smart Dynamic Pricing is investigated. The required signalling when the pricing scheme is deployed in HSPA, HSPA+ and LTE systems is estimated. It is found that adopting Smart Dynamic Pricing will not impose significant signalling traffic on the systems. The estimated signalling is also a good indication of the signalling required for other dynamic or congestion pricing schemes.
