Abstract
Automated trust negotiation (ATN) is an important means to establish trust between strangers through the exchange of digital credentials and mobile access control policies specifying what combinations of credentials a stranger must submit. While ATN provides a good mechanism to share resources in the distributed environments, there still exist some problems in ATN. A notable issue is that it is difficult to build a practical system. And no guidance is given on how to realize an ATN system. Previous work focused on presenting trust negotiation models or schemes, and most work aimed at protecting privacy and preventing sensitive information from leaking. In this paper, we pay much attention on how to build an ATN system, and design and implement a toy ATN system. We present a new means to implement access control policy, digital credential and its matching. A use case is studied to prove the toy system is sound and reasonable.
