Abstract
In this paper, we propose a new subcarrier assignment technique that is capable of substantially reducing the peak-to-average power ratio in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing wireless communication systems. The new technique is based on using pseudonoise sequence shuffling of the subcarrier assignments to data symbols within an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing block. Simulation results confirm the success of the proposed techniques in reducing the peak-to-average power ratio.
