Abstract :
The interaction between travel demand and land use is one of the focus of urban and region sustainable transport development. For the rapidly expanding urbanization, the effective organization of urban land use and travel demand is a priority approach. It is very significant to explore the network coupling relationship between travel demand and land use for understanding and mastering the laws of interaction between urban transport networks, development of scientific urban and regional comprehensive transport development strategy. In this paper, the transportation network characteristics are analysed at first, and then the network coupling analysis method on urban transport network (including the public transport network and road networks) and urban land use is built. What is done above is to open out the interaction law between urban land use and travel demand on the network. The research results show that the spatial analysis method can be a very good approach for evaluating the relationship among bus stops, bus routes, job density and population density. In conjunction with urban cases, the focus of land use layout and public transport development is also reveals.
