Abstract :
As the initial diagnosis of patients of paralytic speech impediment, stability of periodical pronunciation of basic sounds such as `pa-pa-pa...´ is measured by a doctor´s viewing. However, measuring periodicity preciseness and other features of pronunciation by a doctor at a time is a difficult task. In this paper, we describe a system named SRAW (Speech Rehabilitation Assistance Workbench) which measures the ability of basic pronunciation of patients by a camera and a microphone. The system measures the periodicity of pronunciation, speech/pause duration in each cycle of pronunciation, and temporal correlation of a mouth movement and vocal features obtained from voice analysis
