Abstract :
A parallel-polarized Gaussian beam incident on a dielectric slab exactly at the Brewster angle is not entirely transmitted. In this paper the reflected and transmitted field patterns of a diamond Brewster window are simulated by employing theory based on the plane-wave spectrum. A two-peak profile of the reflected beam field along the window surface is obtained and discussed. The computation results for a polyethylene slab are also presented and compared with the measurements.
