Abstract
Based on analyzing the past research on vehicle scheduling in transit scheduling, a new optimization model to minimize the total vehicle operation cost is proposed. This optimization model is a nonlinear integer programming and can be solved rapidly with the global solver in LINGO, as long as the appropriate value of fleet size. It is the advantage of the optimization model and solution methodology in searching the global optimum solution quickly. Finally, the scientific and reasonableness of them is proved by experimental data in the paper.
