Abstract :
The design of decentralized controllers for interconnected large-scale systems is addressed. The system is modelled as a collection of independent subsystems and interconnection equations. At each subsystem level, an independent model is derived using either the control structure properties or the information contained in the interface variables. Conditions are derived for the existence of the local models. Decentralized controllers are designed using these local models
