Abstract :
Design, simulation, and fabrication of a novel multi-band miniaturized antenna are reported. The fabricated antenna whose feeding waveguide is of coplanar (CPW) type can be employed in miniaturized antenna arrays. The fabrication of the antenna requires deposition of aluminum on a glass substrate. The deposited aluminum layer is then patterned to form the antenna layout. The antenna layout consists of radial conducting segments of various lengths to achieve multi-band operation. Simulated radiation characteristics of the antenna have verified the expected multi-band performance.
