Abstract :
Diagnostics of electrical machines windings insulation technical condition is an important issue from the viewpoint of machines reliability and operational hazard. The proposed insulation tests utilise dc voltage and consist of three related procedures. After running the tests, the obtained data is classified and insulation graded in accordance with proposed criteria. These criteria are presented in the paper. The problem has been illustrated by real-life examples of several electrical machines tests´ results.
