Abstract :
This paper reports on investigating the ability of microwave radiation to detect the biological agents, with a particular focus on anthrax (Bacillus anthracis) spores. A multilayered CPW sensor is designed and fabricated to test liquid samples and materials in solution from 45 MHz to 40 GHz. Complex material permittivity is calculated by ABCD matrices based on measured S-parameters.
