Abstract :
This paper presents an analytical description of an induction motor (ASM) in frequency domain. Using the distribution theory, this model allows predicting the harmonics content in the motor windings while it is supplied through a three-phase converter. The model serves also to express, in terms of rotating vectors, the rotor and stator fluxes, as well as the power and the torque of the machine.
