Abstract :
We present a new method for painterly rendering of images. Our method extends the image-moment stroke placement algorithm in two ways: we employ a multiscale scheme for computing strokes and we provide a parametrized mechanism for controlling stroke distribution. In addition, we present a specialized image abstraction for the algorithm.
