Abstract :
Planar multimode antenna coupled microbolometers have been designed using a genetic algorithm (GA) to achieve broad band absorption over the 7 to 14μm band with high responsivity or low noise equivalent power (NEP). These objectives can be achieved by adjusting grid dimensions, distance to mirror, and resistance of the microbolometers.
