Abstract :
The most outstanding phenomenon of economic globalization is the rapid development of multinational corporations. As a fruitful new management mode, Shared Service Management Mode has become the unanimous choice of multinational corporations in developed countries. By 2010, 80% of the global fortune 500 companies are using Shared Services. 90% of multinational corporations are implementing Shared Services. Its achievements are remarkable, return on investment is improved greatly, cost is reduced, the corporation´s flexibility is enhanced and strain capability of business department is improved. Chinese companies´ business operation internationalization has achieved rapid development after implementing the Reform and Opening-Up policy. But on the whole, compared with the developed countries, not only the total lags behind, but also the multinational ability in business and management is obviously deficient. To those which have become or plan to become multinationals in China, learning this Shared Service, an advanced management and organization mode, of multinational corporations in developed countries, will greatly help to improve the ability of controlling the global enterprises. The article introduces the classification, function, risk, applicability and operation management of Shared Service Center, discusses method and procedure of implementing Shared Service Center.
