Abstract :
Blind identification of discrete non-minimum phase FIR channels is studied here. Exploiting higher order statistics of the unknown channel output, a closed-form solution to the FIR channel impulse response is presented. The algorithm is simple and relies only on nullspace decomposition. It does not involve global minimization of non-unimodal cost functions nor does it use overparametrization. Its application is broad. It can be used either as the final channel estimate or as a good initial point in nonlinear cumulant matching techniques
