Abstract :
The paper proposes a new approach to classify the network management information formally and the authors intend to support the description of the network states and events. The classification concept described is slightly different from the approaches of CMIP (common management information protocol). The authors apply the situation classification capability extended from those found in description logic, in order to organize the state and event for network management in hierarchical structure. This approach is an extension of current CMIP approach with combined classification facility of relationship, concept and objects
