Abstract :
A predictive guidance algorithm that adapts to the network-induced communication delay in Wireless Sensor Network Guided Guidance Systems (WSNGGSs) is proposed. In this algorithm Multi-Step Predictor (MSP) is used before the conventional Pure Proportional Navigation (PPN) is applied in the guidance loop. The predictor compensates for communication delay and provides PPN with more accurate target estimates. Simulations show that delay compensation can improve the target interception performance significantly.
