Abstract :
Adaptive channel selection scheme for multihop radio networks is proposed by modifying a scheme for single-hop radio networks. First, the impact of adaptive channel selection scheme, single-channel asynchronous distributed pricing (SC- ADP) algorithm, on the performance of multihop radio networks is evaluated. SC-ADP algorithm enhances the system throughput of single-hop radio networks, however, does not necessarily increase that of multihop radio networks because of the difference in throughput among links in a route. In order to achieve high throughput in multihop radio networks, we then propose power balanced SC-ADP algorithm. Simulation results confirm that the proposed algorithm improves the system throughput by adjusting the maximum transmit power.
