Abstract
In this paper, the possibility to combine a finite element analysis and a boundary element method is investigated. Specificities of the spatial Green´s function relating the stress to the displacement are examined. The digitalization of this function is then considered to insert boundary elements in the finite element formulation. Preliminary computation results are reported.
