Abstract
Teleradiology is the electronic transmission of radiological images from one location to another for the purpose of interpretation and consultation. Teleradiology is therefore a facilitator for more optimal medical care. It is not a form of imaging but rather the technology or process of image transfer/transmission. Through teleradiology, images can be sent to another part of the hospital, or around the world. It enables radiologists to render diagnosis and to consult remotely.
